20:00 WAT, every night
The Night
At 20:00, everybody in the country crosses the same threshold at the same instant. Ten questions, sixty seconds, one champion — and a new one tomorrow.
What a night is
Three beats, then it’s over.
Before — you enter
Entry opens through the day. You can see how many people are already in, and what the champion stands to take.
20:00:00.000 — the threshold
Everybody sits the same ten questions at the same instant. Not a version of them. The same ones.
About a minute later — the reveal
The board settles, the champion is named, and the whole night is published to a public address that does not need the app to read.
Why an appointment
Because everybody is in the same room.
The Slip is yours alone. The Night is the opposite: the reason it is worth turning up is that the person you are beating turned up too. That only works if it happens at a time everybody knows.
One clock, more than one country
Nigeria and Cameroon each run their own night, with their own pot and their own board. Two events, not one shared leaderboard.
Miss it and nothing is lost
There is another one tomorrow, and the Slip is playable all day. The appointment is an invitation, not a penalty.
If it cannot be fair, it is voided
A night that cannot settle correctly for everyone is voided and entry fees go back. That has happened, and it is written down.
Afterwards
Every night is on the record.
Settled nights are published at a public address. No login, no app, nothing to install — you can send the link to somebody who has never heard of us.
