Money

Money

Is this gambling?

No. Arena is a game of skill: you answer questions against a clock, and what you win depends on how many you get right and how fast. There is no spin, no draw, no random multiplier, and no bet on somebody else’s match.

On the Slip, what you have to do to win is stated in plain terms before you stake, and it cannot move once you have.

Is there a limit on what I can win?

Yes, while Arena is in beta. A single game pays at most ₦10,000, and where a game would have paid more it is paid at ₦10,000. This applies to every game played during beta, including games played before the limit was published on 17 September 2026.

Beta runs until 31 October 2026. After that, the most a single game can pay is ₦50,000. Winnings are limited to ₦50,000 a day, and withdrawals to ₦50,000 a day.

Your deposits are not affected — the limit is on winnings, and money you put in can be withdrawn as usual. See Money.

How do I get my money out?

Withdraw to a Nigerian bank account from the wallet in the app. Withdrawals go through the same rails your bank app uses and normally land the same day.

The account name has to match the name on your Arena account — that check is the reason somebody else cannot withdraw your winnings.

What does Arena take?

A margin is built into the price of every Slip, and it is visible in the deal you are offered: the engine tells you the odds it is asking for before you pay. Nothing is deducted from a win after the fact.

See Money for the whole picture, including deposits and withdrawals.

Do I have to put money in to play?

No, and you should not on day one. Practice is free and unlimited, and the Night is free to enter whenever it is running in free mode. Play first, decide later.

What actually happens at 20:00?

Everybody who entered sits the same ten questions at the same instant. It takes about sixty seconds. Then the board settles, the champion is named, and the whole thing is published.

If you miss it, nothing is lost — there is another one tomorrow, and the Slip is playable all day.

What if my network drops mid-round?

Your run is signed on your device and submitted when the connection returns. A dropped network does not forfeit a round you had already played.

If a night cannot be settled fairly for everyone, it is voided and entry fees go back to the wallets they came from.

Can somebody cheat by looking up answers?

The clock is the defence: rounds are built to be answerable by someone who knows the answer and not by someone searching for it. Runs are also checked for the signatures of automation before they are paid.

I have a new phone. How do I get back in?

Sign in with your number. A new device asks for a one-time code and then your PIN — the PIN lives on the server, not on the old phone, so nothing is stranded on a device you no longer have.

How do I delete my account?

From the delete account page, or from inside the app. Anything we are required to keep for financial records is listed there rather than glossed over.

Which countries can play?

Nigeria and Cameroon today. Each country runs its own night, its own pot and its own payment rail — a Nigerian night and a Cameroonian night are separate events.

Still stuck

Talk to a person.

Arena is small enough that mail reaches somebody who can actually change something. Include the phone number on your account and, if it is about money, roughly when it happened.
